Safe Environment; Youth, Adult, and Clergy
The Office of Child & Youth Protection for the Church in Eastern Oklahoma is here to support our local communities providing a safe environment for children, youth, and vulnerable adults as articulated in diocesan policy and the USCCB Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People.
All employees and volunteers are required to complete Child & Youth Protection Requirements in the Diocese of Tulsa. VIRTUS is the platform that the Diocese of Tulsa utilizes to safeguard our children and vulnerable adults. Child & Youth Protection Requirements include training, safe environment policy and rules to follow when working or volunteering with children, and a criminal background check.
